Lexi just finished her 8 week session of Apples to Zebra's preschool. She had so much fun. Yesterday, Caden and I got to go watch some of the things they've been learning. The video is of her singing one of the many songs they learned. (Make sure to pause my playlist at the bottom so you can hear her sing.) I am so proud of her. She was one of the only ones that knew all the words and sign language to go with it. She is now asking me when she goes again to school, so I guess we'll be signing up for another session.

Here she is on stage before beginning her performance.

These are Lexi's teachers, Ms. Maria and Ms. Alexa.

Here she is with her certificate. So cute and smart!

Mr. Clean

I've noticed recently that Caden thinks he's an artist. He will draw on anything, ie: walls, floor, drawers, toys...just about anything. So I had to post about how glad I am for the invention of the Magic Eraser. The other day I found some pen and crayon on the wall and decided to get out my nifty sponge and clean it off. As I was cleaning it, I noticed some more just down the hall and then noticed some on Lexi's dresser, and this pattern continued on for about a 1/2 hour. I found little scribble marks throughout my whole house, that I didn't notice until I got down to Caden's level. Thanks to Mr. Clean my job was easy. If it hadn't been for my magic sponge, I'm sure my job would have taken a lot longer!

I've Been Tagged!

The rules of the game are posted at the beginning. Each player answers the questions about themselves. At the end of the post, the player tags 4 people and posts their names, then goes to their blog and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they are tagged.

1) Where I was 10 years ago: A freshman at Rhodes Junior High. Whoo hoo! Go Rhoderunners!

2) 5 things on my "to do list" today: Not very exciting, but... 1.) Take Lexi to preschool 2.) Go to Walmart and return a few things. 3.) Go to the grocery store 4.) Make dinner for the fam. 5.) Set the recorder for Lost & American Idol while I'm at enrichment helping my Mom. (You all know how much you'd freak out if you missed your shows!

3) Things I would do if I became a billionaire: 1.) Pay for a house in cash 2.) Take the whole family to Hawaii 3.) Probably go shopping! You know with no "sale only" frame of mind. Now that would be fun! 4.) Save and invest the rest!

4) 3 Of my Bad Habits: 1.) I'm a sucker for chocolate and sweets. 2.) I'm a clean freak. Clint loves to point out the slightest dust or mess because he knows I can't do anything else until I clean it. I'm kind of obsessive comulsive when it comes to cleaning. 3.) I used to always bite my nails...I'm happy to admit that it's gotten much better though!

5) 5 places I've lived: 1.) Orem, Ut. 2.) Albuquerque, NM (for 2 years in elementary school) 3.)Mesa, AZ 4.) Gilbert, AZ (our aprtment when we were first married 5.) Chandler, AZ (where we are now, and just love!)

6) 5 Jobs I've had: 1.) Working seasonaly at Honeybaked Ham Co. 2.) Beauty Emporium (such a fun job. Where else can you polish your nails and dip your hands in parafin wax while working?) 3.) Bank One (Chase) as a teller. I loved this job, except for the pressure of sales and still think about the fun times I had.

7) Something Most People Don't Know About Me: I am allergic to the cold. When I get really cold and am not bundled up I start getting hives on my elbows and knees that itch like crazy. Also I broke my arm when I was a kid and the arm didn't heal correctly. The doctor took one look at it and said that he'd have to re-brake it. So he took my arm and snapped it back into two. Good thing I was young and don't really remember. I think it was more tramatic for my Mom.

And I am going to Tag: WATCH OUT!!! Cheryl, Brittany, and Jessica

American Idol..Start Voting!

So I am an American Idol fan and was watching the auditions for season 7, when I recognized the face of the last audition in Philidelphia. It was a friend of ours, Brooke White. Clint was roomates with her husband Dave and they were dating at the same time as Clint and I. Anyways, shortly after they were married they moved from Arizona to California to pursue Brooke's music career. So when Clint and I saw her on Idol we were so excited and then even more syched when the judges loved her and sent her strait to Hollywood. Needless to say she has made the top 24 and the live auditions where America (you and me) vote begins this week. So I want to encourage all my friends and fam to vote for her...she definately deserves it. Even if your not an American Idol fan...you need to become one this season so we can see Brooke make it to the top! She has a great voice and is such a cute girl! Go Brooke!

For My Valentines!

Happy Valentines Day! This is one of my favorite holidays because I get to express my love! I love my wonderful husband who does so much for our family. He is constantly working hard and we have so much gratitude for all he does for us. I am so lucky to be married to my love and want him to know how much I love him. Lexi is my sassy sweatheart. She is getting so big and brings us so much joy in our home each day. She says some of the most funny things, which Clint and I have no idea where she learned it from. I love her! Caden is our love bug. He still has moments where he loves to sit and lay on my shoulder; which I treasure. He is growing up so quick and our family definately wouldn't be complete without his enthusiastic attitude and his loving heart. I sure love him! I hope everyone enjoys something special this day. Happy Love Day!

Below are my favorite promises from Dove Chocolate!

  • Chocolate always loves you back
  • Express what's in your heart
  • Go where your heart takes you
  • Celebrate family & friends
  • The best things in life are chocolate (I have my Mom to thank for this one!)
  • Do something spontaneous
  • Chocolate. Always your valentine.
  • Exercise your heart today.
  • Linger over chocolate longer (one of my favorites!)
  • Make someone melt today.

Monday night...family night!

For family night last night, Clint came up with the idea that we should ride our bikes to a nearby park and take a picnic. So we did. The only thing is Clint wanted to have Pei Wei (not really your standard picnic meal), but I thought it sounded good, so that's what we did. We picked it up, brought it home, packed it up and brought it with us to the park. It was a lot of fun and the kids love riding in the bike trailor because Dad always takes them down the "big" hills. What a great way to spend time together as a fam!

Your blog. Automatically slurped into a real book.

So I just randomly came across this website that will put your blog into a book for you. I have not done it yet, but plan to soon. I guess it's fairly simple and this way you have an actual hard copy of your blog! I'm so excited about this because it's like a journal of my family and we'll have a book to look back at and see all the fun things we did or said. If you'd like to check it out the website is http://www.blurb.com/create/book/blogbook I'll be sure to show pictures when I get mine :)

Take this test!
You're brown, a credible, stable color that's reminiscent of fine wood, rich leather, and wistful melancholy. Most likely, you're a logical, practical person ruled more by your head than your heart. With your inquisitive mind and insatiable curiosity, you're probably a great problem solver. And you always gather all of the facts before coming to a timely, informed decision. Easily intrigued, you're constantly finding new ways to challenge your mind, whether it's by reading the newspaper, playing a trivia game, or composing a piece of music. Brown is an impartial, neutral color, which means you tend to see the difference between fact and opinion easily and are open to many points of view. Trustworthy and steady, you really are a brown at heart.

Vote for Romney!

So as super Tuesday approaches this next week I believe we all need to do our part in helping with the Mitt Romney campaign. The Republican nomination has come down to a two man race between Govenor Mitt Romney and Senator John McCain. Because McCain and Romney are neck and neck, the Romney campaign needs to get the word out and let everyone know that Romney is our better choice and will do more for us as Americans! If you would like to sign up to help, visit http://www.mittromney.com/CallatHome I strongly suggest if you want Romney to be the next President you do this. I will be making calls this weekend to show my support. So help do your part to help bring the conservative change to Washington we need!
