disneyland

We went to Disneyland the 2nd week in October.  This had been in the works for the past year, when Clint's parents told us that they were going with the girls {their daughters families} last Fall Break and we'd {the son's families} would go with them this fall break.  I was so excited to finally have something planned for fall break, seeing that we are usually here and don't do a whole lot while the kids are out of school for a week.

As we began to plan, my sis in law Ashley called me up to let me know that Mesa's fall break {which is the school district my mother-in-law works for} was the week before ours this year. What??? Why would they do that?  Anyways, seeing that Chris and Peggy were going with us, we needed to go when she had the time off.  Which meant my kids would just have to miss a week of school and then come home to have another week off :)

We ended up having a fabulous time and can't wait to go back!!!

I wish I had a picture of Archer on the rockets.  It was our very first ride and any time you ask him what his favorite ride at Disneyland is he always says the rockets!

In line for California Soarin'.  All of the older cousins that could go.
Annie, Chandler, Caden, Lexi, Jacks and Presley!

We were so excited to make it to Cars Land!  We had to experience Radiator Springs...we tried several times our 2nd day there and it was always closed due to the ride experiencing problems.  Our 3rd day we knew we had to hit it up.  By the time we tried to get a fast pass they were gone for the day, so Caden and I waited in line for 2 hours!  {he had no idea what he was getting himself into}.  It was so fun though, and we're glad we did it!

This picture makes me laugh... Curt hands up on the caterpillar train and Clint sanitizing his hands!  Love it!

Caden loved every thrilling ride there was!  His favorite?  Thunder Mountain, just like his Mom!

After 3 fun filled, exhausting days at Disneyland we headed to the beach where Clint's sisters were staying for a few days and all hung out there.  After a day in the sun and sand, we hit up Ruby's and then headed home.

The Albright Clan, minus Casey {working :( }

Can't get enough of the sand!

Curt, Clint and Chris = what they love best!

schnepf farms

At the beginning of Oct. I had the opportunity to join Caden's class on a field trip to Schnepf Farms.  It was so fun to try and manage 5 six year old boys!  Let me tell ya...after chasing them around for 4 hours in 95 degrees, I vowed to only volunteer for field trips that are indoor or in the winter :)

It was actually tons of fun and Caden was so glad to have his Mom there. {I better soak it up for all it's worth now!}

grandparents day

My parents went and took the kids lunch for grandparents day!  It's a day much anticipated and both Lexi and Caden feel pretty special!
{sorry about the low quality photos; they were all taken with a phone}

We also had the opportunity to have my parents over for dinner to celebrate both their birthdays.  Archer thought he'd help grandpa blow his candle out!

labor day

It really is great when you have wonderful friends, who have kids your kids love to play with, that have one awesome pool, and that invite you over for a fun bbq and swimming on a holiday!

gotta love the belly hanging out
It just took going down once to realize how much fun it really is!

spirit days

Crazy hair/sock day is a favorite at our house.  The kids look forward to it and they put a lot of thought into what they want to do.  This is what came about this year...

curriculum night

Curriculum night at the school is an evening to go hear what each of the kids' teachers have planned for the year and their goals for each student.  The parents usually leave a little note/picture for the kids to see the next day and the kids usually have prepared a little something for their parents to have.

I just couldn't help but love what Lexi made...

Not quite sure what happened to #10, but the top 9 are good enough :)
Keep up the confidence Lexi and you'll do well in life!

the most wonderful time of the year...

I'm so far behind, but I'm bound and determined to catch up!
{even if that means posting a bunch of photos and little words :) }

Before school started we wanted to do something fun.  One last hooray, if you will.  So what's more fun that skateland?  Nothing really.  So that's what we did!

I love the fact that this place looks exactly the same as it did when I was Lexi's age!  It's a blast from the past and always tons of fun!

School started on Aug. 8 this year.  Is it just me, or does this day seem to come earlier every year?  The kids were ready though, and I was too!  I just love having a consistent schedule and some one on one time with my Archie.

Ready for 1st grade

3rd grade, here I come!

San Diego...day 2-7

The rest of our vacation was spent on the beach, doing some shopping, eating, going to the beach, playing games into the wee hours of the night, talking, going to the beach, watching shows {especially the bachelorette finale...we were definitely not going to miss it!}, eating, performances by the kiddos, making and eating yummy desserts and lots more of going to the beach!

Needless to say, it was such a relaxing vacation and full of fun with such a great group!
I'll let the pictures tell the rest...
{and there's a lot!}

Archer and Drew have a love/hate friendship.  They would play with each other one minute and the next they'd be throwing sand in each other's eyes.  They both loved the sand though!

I love this picture with all the kids working together to make a sand castle.

Cute Emmersyn was so exhausted.

 One of Clint's favorite things, playing football on the beach!

Love this guy!

Such a poser!  Gotta love the sass!

The view from the rooftop deck.

While the girls spent a day shopping the boys went to the USS Midway.

Sneaky boys...they loved being on the rooftop.

These girls put on many shows for us.  They were hilarious!

The adults got a night out full of fun with no kids {thanks to the older girls for watching them all and getting everyone to bed!}
