Build a Bear

As I had mentioned in my previous post, Caden went with Grandma and Grandpa Jensen to build a bear for his 3rd birthday. I just got some pictures from my Dad and wanted to make sure I shared a few. My parents started this with Lexi when she turned 3 and thought they'd carry on the tradition. He was so excited to build his very own dog and pick out an outfit just for him. He named him "Nash" and sleeps with Nash every night now. He is too cute and almost makes me want to have a dog....almost!

splish splash, dive on in for a birthday bash!

It's hard to believe that Caden is 3! On Saturday morning Grandma and Grandpa Jensen took Caden to build-a-bear where he got a dog dressed in a suns basketball uniform and he named him Nash. We then celebrated with family and some of his friends later that evening. We had a fun pool party along with a bounce house. It was a blazing 114 that day, but we still managed to have a great time! This year Caden definitely knew what was going on and couldn't wait for his party. He was so grateful for his presents and each gift he opened he had the same response, "this is just what I always wanted!" It was too cute. We sure love our C-dawg! He makes us laugh every day with his great personality. What a blessing he is to our family!

Fresh Ideas

Are you like me and so sick of making the same meals over and over? Well my awesome sister-in-law Ashley created a blog dedicated solely to recipes. I have already tried a few new ones and they have all been great. Check out the blog: http://adashofthyme.blogspot.com/

Independence Day

For the 4th we began the day with Clint reading us the Declaration of Independence (a tradition around our house that I used to roll my eyes about, but now I actually enjoy!) Later we went to my parents house for swimming and dinner. After dinner Grandma and Grandpa found some "pop it's" for the kids and then decided to venture out a little and light some fireworks they had. This was especially fun for me because as a kid I always remember having our own fireworks show in our front yard (we lived in Utah at the time). Once we realized the next door neighbors were lighting them also, we got out the 4 to 6 ft fireworks and lit them up. Afterwords we went to Tumbleweed Park for the City of Chandler's fireworks spectacular. It was a great show!
