Baptism Day

Lexi was baptized April 14.  A day I will never forget.  A day full of emotions.  A day like no other.  A wonderful day!

I honestly am not sure how to put in words the way I felt as my first child entered the waters of baptism.  I am so grateful to have a daughter like Lexi.  I am grateful that she made the choice to be baptized and understands what that choice means.  She tries her best to please her Heavenly Father and I know he was smiling down on her that day!

As we were driving to the church she asked us what Heavenly Father did special that day just for her.  We told her that the weather was perfect and sent just that day to make her baptism extra special {all week we had 90 degree weather and on Sat. it was in the 70's}.  She was all smiles that day and as we were in the dressing room putting on her white jumpsuit she looked up at me and said, "I am so excited to be baptized!  I can't wait!"

Lexi and her bestie ~ Ella.  It was so fun for these girls to share their baptism day with each other!

My friend Amy made the announcements.  I love the way they turned out!

We had a luncheon following the baptism with family and friends.  I took a few pic's before, but clearly forgot in the craziness of trying to feed 30+ to take some while they were here!

one smart kid...

This is how I found Caden several nights in a row last week.  This was the first night when he wanted to try it out "for fun".  When he continued to sleep under the bed, rather than on top I asked him why and he quickly replied, "It is much easier to make my bed in the morning, Mom!"  And to that I'd have to agree!

Easter 2012

We had a wonderful Easter!  The kids woke up to some fun surprises in their baskets and then ventured out back for an egg hunt.  We then had a delicious breakfast and went to church.  I am so sad that I forgot to take a picture of all the kiddos in their Easter outfits.  {I know what people mean when they say as you get older, you forget things!}  Oh well!  I'm sure you'll believe me when I say they looked adorable and handsome!
We then went to my parents house with everyone for dinner!  It was delicious and fun!

Here's Archer stuffing his face with pumpkin pie!  Who needs a fork anyways?!

Egg Hunt

Our neighborhood had an egg hunt Sat. morning.  It was such a good turnout and {as always} lots of fun!
After the egg hunt they had games and breakfast.

good friday

Friday before Easter, my sis-in-law Ashley bought some new chicks {for their awesome and way cute coop that Curt just built}.  She brought the chicks over for my kids to have a peek!

Don't mind the uncombed hair! {it's good Friday=no school} what do you expect?
Archer held the chicks at first, but as soon as I got the camera he was hesitant and thought their little feet were too prickly.
They are so cute!

We then decided that we'd dye our eggs.  Why is it that every year the dye spills?!  I seriously spend the whole time trying to avoid a spill, but it still happens.  Oh well!  The kids had fun; that's all that matters!

Archer does this face lately; so silly!

He decided it was taking too long to dye them so he went ahead and peeled and ate one!

Later that night we went with 4 other families from our ward to the Easter Pageant.  It was fun to have such a big crowd.  I wish I'd taken a picture of all of us.  It was wonderful and I love that my kids are beginning to understand and realize why we really do celebrate Easter.  Mary was also played by a friend in my ward which made it extra fun to watch!
