Fall Soccer

Soccer season for fall 2010 has begun! Caden is playing again and Lexi decided to give it a try too. What was I thinking having two kids in soccer at the same time? I obviously never contemplated the time I'd be spending to/from and at the soccer field every week! I'm sure this is just the beginning of me being a Taxi Mom and I should get VERY used to it!

Caden's team is the silver tigers. There are several boys his age from the neighborhood playing and he absolutely loves it! I love it too, especially since practices are at the park at the end of our street! He is doing great and keeps getting better each week.

Lexi's team is the Golden Hamsters! (say what? one of the kids must have recently got a hamster as a pet!) After Lexi's first game, (mind you, it was a 12:30pm game and was 100 degrees outside) she asked how many more games were left in the season? I kind of chuckled and told her 7 more. She said, "Oh good! That's not too many!" Apparently soccer isn't as much of her thing as she thought. She is a good sport though and knows that once she starts something she is going to finish. It would probably make a difference also if she had a friend on her team or even more girls. There is only one other girl. At first Clint and I were a little worried thinking that most the boys on the team have probably played before and Lexi might have a harder time keeping up. She is doing really well for never playing though. Her coach asked me if she's played before and was surprised to hear she hadn't. Who knows? Maybe by the end of the season she'll be begging to play again! =)

6 Months

Archer just passed his 6 month mark! It's hard to believe! This little guy is so much fun and we love having him around.
Height: 27"

Head Circumference: 17"

Weight: 16 lb. 4 oz.

Loves food! He thinks that whenever the rest of us are eating he should too. We haven't found anything this kid won't eat!

He's discovered now, for quite some time, how to take his binky out...but only recently he will take it out, hold on to it (or drop it) and find a way to get it back into his mouth. Yeah!

This is his latest trick. He loves getting on all fours and rocking back and forth. I'm trying to not think about how close crawling is...I want my baby to stay a baby!

I love this face! Who wouldn't?
