summer fun...

We've tried to keep busy this summer...

Here is some of the fun we've had lately:

My great friend Tori was in town from Cali and brought her daughter, Mylin over. She is only 4 days younger than Archer! We had a fun time having lunch and catching up!

We went to the AZ science center. I forgot to take my camera, but the kids had a great time exploring there!

The kids have been asking all year to go to the "Dinosaur Museum". We wanted to wait until the summer when we knew it would be unbearable outside and we'd only want to do indoor activities. They had a lot of fun looking at all the dinosaur bones.

We also spent a day at Sunsplash. We left Archer with my Mom and took Lexi and Caden. They absolutely loved it! Lexi could go down almost all the slides and Caden could go down all the tube slides. We also loved lounging in the lazy river and splashing around in the wave pool. It was a really fun day!

Our friend's Morgan and Paige had a fun summer party at Jump and Shout. The kids had a blast and the Mom's enjoyed catching up!

4 years old!

It's hard to believe our C-dawg turned 4 on July 6th! With his birthday being in the middle of the summer, it's either a swim party or an indoor party every year. We told Caden he could choose what he wanted to do and he was set to have a party at Chuck E. Cheese. He invited lots of his friends and they all had a blast!
Caden is definately our peacemaker and tender hearted. He loves to make others happy! He still loves the pool and is quite a good swimmer. He is constantly wrestling Daddy and likes to ride his bike. Lately he loves to comb his own hair and make a "hohawk" as he says. We sure love him!

Having fun racing cars. Love their faces!

Mom was a great help!

Caden wanted Toy Story cupcakes

Caden in the Ticketblaster.

Funny story: We told Caden to throw all the tickets in his shirt so he could grab as many tickets as possible. Apparently he thought we meant to hold his shirt open...and that's exactly what he did the whole time! This picture shows it all. He just stood there and let all the tickets fly into his shirt. I think it actually worked out to his benefit...he scored big and got SO many tickets!

Happy Happy Birthday

Clint just turned 32 on June 27th! Due to Father's Day and his birthday only a week apart, he made sure we made his celebration last the whole week! He loved to remind us that it was his "birthday week!"

We did go out and celebrate with no kids, thanks to my Mom. We went to Liberty Market for dinner followed by Forever Plaid at the Hale Center Theater. The food was so yummy! We also celebrated with the kids and the Albright clan on Sunday. Happy Birthday Clint! We love you!

A first for us

I knew this day would come and I'm glad it took over 6 years with kids before it did. Caden had a run in with the corner of his bed on June 19th.

I was in my room getting ready for the day when I heard Caden start crying. As I begin to tell him to "be quiet, before he wakes up Archer!" I see the blood all over his face and kind of freak out. Apparently him and Lexi were playing football in his room and he fell backwards right into the edge of the bed. Once we got him cleaned up and saw how good of a gash he had, I knew he'd need a few stitches. Clint took him to the ER and said he acted very brave. He ended up with 3 stitches. The biggest bummer for Caden is that he couldn't go swimming for a week! (Never fear...he still wore his swimsuit 24/7!)

Here he is acting his bravest as he waited for the Doc to come in!

The stitches along with a black eye!
