tball p-a-r-t-y!!!

For the end of the season we had a fun water party at the park!  It was full of fun that included pizza, a gigantic slip-n-slide, a blow up slide, lots of great friends and some crazy Dads who had to get in on the action!

Clint having himself some FUN!

Isn't that the cutest tball team?
I didn't get any pic's of Archer at the party so here's a cute picture of him in Caden's jersey.  He brought it to Daddy and wanted him to put it on him...as you can see he was happy as can be walking around like that!

preschool graduation

Yes, Caden officially graduated from preschool and now it's on to bigger and better!  {Can he really be going to kindergarten next year?!}  They did a cute presentation with songs and Mrs. Cheri had each child  come up and tell their "favorites" throughout the year and then she presented them with a diploma.  I just asked Caden today if he misses going to preschool?  His response: "No, I love summer time!"

We love Mrs. Cheri

Caden was so excited that they were singing their Easter song; he said it was his favorite!

moments like these

At 4am last night, Caden stumbles into my room and awakes me by saying, "Mom, I had a bad dream."  I tell him to lay down on the floor next to my bed and I get him a pillow and blanket.  About 15 minutes later, I'm awakened again to "Mom, I can't sleep.  I'm scared."  I tell him that it's the middle of the night and he needs to get back to sleep and if he keeps waking me up he'll have to go back in his bed.  (As I'm writing it down, it sounds kind of harsh, but hey, I was half asleep!)  Not two minutes later I hear Caden again.  This time he says, "Mom.  I want to go back in my bed."

I then take him back to his bed and ask what he had a bad dream about.  "Mario and a walrus with sharp teeth that transforms into a bad guy!"  {What?} Anyways I put him down and proceed to tell him that I want him to stay in his bed and not come out until the morning.

I go climb back in bed and not 5 minutes later I hear talking.  I get out of bed once again and see that the hall light is on and Lexi's bedroom light.  Apparently Lexi heard Caden crying and told him to come lay in her bed with her.  Caden brought in his night light so he wouldn't be scared.  Lexi told him that she wouldn't be able to sleep with that bright light and so she took a glow-in-the-dark star off of her wall and gave it to Caden to hold so he wouldn't be scared.  It was such a thoughtful thing to do for her brother.   It's moments like these as a mother that I love...when I see the love that my children have for one another!

Go Tigers!

Just as we're about ready to end the tball season...I'm finally getting around to blogging about it!  I have to say that Clint was really hesitant about signing Caden up this year.  He felt that he may be too young.  But after much persistence by muah, he finally agreed that even if he didn't get a lot out of it at least he got to go have fun with friends!
Caden has loved playing with all of his buddies from the neighborhood (and I've loved having practice just down the street at the park)!  It has been so fun to watch these boys!  There are so many boys Caden's age which I just love and am so glad he'll have so many great friends to grow up with!  Their uniforms are orange and black...so pretty much by default they became the Tigers.  Caden did say that he likes soccer better because they move around a lot more.  We'll see what the future holds, but for now GO TIGERS!!!
