Busy Bee

Caden started preschool this week. He is going to Mrs. Speth's Busy Bee Preschool. He had fun his first day making hats and coloring. When I picked him up this was our conversation.

me: "What did you learn today?

Caden: "We did our numbers."

me: "Oh, what did you count to?"

Caden: "100!"

me: "100?!!!"

Caden: "No, 50!"

me: "Oh wow! What did you really count to?"

Caden: "15!"

I guess this is the response you get with boys! Who knows if he really counted to 15. I think he figured out that I'd stop asking if he said a number that I know he can actually count to.

He loves his class so far and has so much fun. In fact, he never wants to leave when I pick him up. He scared his teacher the first day when I came to pick him up and he was no where to be found. Apparently he thought it would be funny to go hide behind her couch.

Yay...

...for Back 2 School!!! Lexi started 1st grade yesterday! She was super excited and couldn't go to sleep the night before due to the excitement. She wanted to ride the bus to school, but I insisted on taking her the first day to make sure she knew where to go. With her being at a new school this year, I wanted to be sure she didn't get lost. I did let her ride the bus home with all her friends. She said her first day was a lot of fun and the best thing was that they didn't have any homework! Woohoo!

Saying goodbye...

...to our lazy summer days!

(Yes, she really did fall asleep like this!)

Tea Time

For months now, Lexi has been wanting to have a tea party with friends. I told her during the summer would be a perfect time. I kind of kept pushing it off, but she wouldn't let it go. Then she saw this beautiful tea set that was my grandmother's and told me that she was picking a day, which she did, and put it on the calendar.

We invited over a few friends and Lexi knew exactly how she wanted to do things. We had mini PB&J and turkey/cheese sandwiches, fruit using toothpicks to eat it, finger jello, cupcakes, and of course Lemonade as our tea. I suggested they get all fancy with Lexi's dress ups, but she didn't want to do that. ~Like I said, she knew how SHE wanted to do things! =)~ Lexi even made her friends little goody bags out of paper. They all had a great time!

1/3 birthday...

is there such a thing? I can't believe this little man is 4 months old! Archer is by far my littlest baby, but we love love love him! (Just to give you an idea...he is 3 lbs. lighter than Caden & 2 lbs. lighter than Lexi at this same age.) Yeah, those two were chunky! Archer still has a few rolls and is ahead in the motor skills department. He actually rolled over for the 1st time June 1st at only 2 1/2 months. He now gets around by rolling his way on the floor. He tried baby food for the 1st time last week and is learning how to get more down his throat than on his bib!

Here's the 4 month stats:

weight: 14 lbs. 10oz.

height 25.5"

head circumference: 16.5"

He likes his fingers or anything else he can get his hands on! He is my only baby that's taken a binky and a bottle!!! (I have to say it's been SO nice!)
