Growing gills...

As I've said all summer long, Caden loves swimming! He is such a fish and could stay in the water and be happy for hours. He loves to jump in, doing a belly flop, which he'll do over and over. I guess it must not hurt that bad. He's also started to swim to the side. We're trying to teach him to lift his head and take a breath as he's swimming because he holds his breath for so long. This kid really has no fear and will try it all.
We go to a friend's house for play group and he loves to jump in from the diving board and swim to me. Also, every time I'm at the public pool I get someone who asks me how old he is and they're shocked that he's only two and can swim as well as he does. I tell them that he's a natural and has always loved the water and is learning to swim with Daddy's help.
Here's some video of Caden jumping in to Daddy and swimming over to Grandpa.

wow i must not have checked your blog in a while, Caden does a great job with his arms, he is definitely a fish. I loved the post about Lexi because it reminds me so much of Presley she knows all the Primary songs probably due to the help of the primary songs cd we listen to by default whenever in the car and Presley loves those two songs in particular too, they should do a duet...although Presley is alot more shy than Lexi so it may be a solo. Lexi did a great job singing.

Not only does he LOOK like Tyler, he and Tyler swim the same! :) Everything you write about Caden swimming reminds me of Ty. Too bad we don't still live near by and the two could be swimming buddies! :)

Holy Cow! Watch out Phelps!
You guys are going to have two kids in the Olympics a few years from now.
