To my next 30 years...

Happy 30th Birthday to Clint! Yesterday was his birthday and I'm sure he feels much older and wiser. We celebrated with a surprise pool party at my parents house. He has been quite a snoop about the whole thing. He asked me a while ago what we were going to do for his birthday and I told him we would do whatever he wanted. He never really said, so I planned this party for him with family and a lot of his friends. I have to say that I did get him and he really was surprised. He thought he we were headed to dinner and there would be something going on at the restaurant. (Even though he called the restaurant earlier to "confirm" a reservation and text his brother pretending to be me.) so when we went to drop the kids off at my parents house, he was taken back and didn't expect that!
Clint's accomplished many great things over the past 30 years and I'm sure there are many more to come. I'm glad he had the best birthday because he deserves it!

Arizona Grande Resort

This weekend we went with the Albright clan to Arizona Grande resort (formerly the Pointe) for our staycation! We had a blast swimming at the water park and lounging around for 2 days. Lexi and Caden loved playing in the wave pool and playing in the kiddie pool. Caden throws himself in the pool and lays there doing a tummy float. Anyone who watches him thinks he's drowning, but I guess he just loves to be under the water becuase he does this over and over. He also somehow learned to fill his mouth with water and then spit it out on something. I have no idea where he got that from. The kids loved playing with their cousins and having their rooms right next each other. We all had such a fun time that we're hoping to do it again next year!

Recipe Revolution

I was on the phone with my good friend Carlie and we were talking about recipes we wanted from each other. We talked about posting them on our blogs, and then came up with the idea for a blog purposefully for recipes. We thought this way, all of our friends could share their most delectable and yummy recipes. I've posted the vanilla cream sauce that so many have asked for. Check it out often and send us your recipes to post. Happy Cooking!http://reciperevolution.blogspot.com/

Happy Father's Day!

Clint had a very Happy Father's day. He woke up (literally...you can tell by the hair!) to breakfast in bed that Lexi was so excited to make. We made waffles with vanilla cream sauce, (mmm...so yummy), fruit and OJ. She told me that she wished she was a father so she could have breakfast in bed. The kids were so excited for him to open his presents that they made him do it while he was still in bed. Lexi was so anxious to give her Daddy everything she'd been keeping a secret. Caden was also so excited. He had to sit on dad's lap and eat his breakfast right there with him. Clint also got chocolates, a book, shirt and new boardshorts. We love and appreciate all he does for our family. He's a wonderful father and husband! We sure love you!

This Little Piggy...

Lexi had her dance recital last night. They did a ballet routine to "This Little Piggy", so their costumes were little piggy's. They had piggy ears and a curly tail, that you can't see at the back. The girls were so cute and did a great job! I might be a little bias, but I thought Lexi was the best ballerina in her class. When I picked her up after the recital she said, "that was so much fun!" I think she loved being dressed up, wearing make-up, performing on a big stage in front of an audience, and getting flowers afterward. I only have a video of the dance on my camcorder, so if I can figure out how to put in on my computer, then I'll post it later. For now, here's some still shots of the girl's back stage.

This little pig went to the market...

Here's a picture with mom before dress rehearsal.

Their class was the smallest group. There's Joy, Whitney, Sara, Hailey, Kennedy & Lexi.

Joy, Whitney & Lexi! What cute ballerina's.

Weekend Fun

This weekend we went to our friend's house the Smith's. They had us over for a BBQ and we brought along guitar hero. We all had such a fun time. The kids had a good time playing together. Caden and Dallan are only 1 month apart, so they were both practicing their "sharing" skills all night.

Ryan (who won all bragging rights) & Clint rocking out.

Danielle & Farrah. I'm really into it. Can you tell?
