Ooh La La!

It’s hard to believe my Lexi Lou just turned 5! We are so blessed to have her in our family! She is such a smart girl and has come a long way in 5 years. She can count to 100, has begun reading, spends tons of time drawing and coloring, is a girly girl (likes to have her hair done, nails polished and wear a dress), loves preschool, loves her brother, and is the sassiest girl ever!
(we’re working on that one.)

Lexi said that she wanted to have a Fancy Nancy Party months ago and we’ve been planning ever since. I must say that the party was spectacular and we had a fabulous time!

The fancy invites!

making their purses spectacular!

Fancy Nancy sent the girls on an accessory scavenger hunt. The girls had fun finding, sunglasses, necklaces, bracelets and nail decals.

A girl can never have too many accessories!

Clint was the Maitred' (that's a fancy word for waiter). He served the girls their parfaits. Each of the girls loved putting their own toppings on their parfait and making it very fancy!

sorry about the million pictures. they're mostly for mom's to see! =)

Happy 6 years!

Clint and I celebrated our anniversary on Friday. We have been married 6 years! It's crazy how fast the time has gone by. We have been through many things together and are excited to see what the next many years bring us! Clint planned on surprising me by taking me horseback riding for my first time. On Thurs. he decided he should probably tell me so I didn't end up wearing heels on our date. We had a lot of fun! The horse I rode, Mystery, was a female and a little touchy. At first, she didn't even want to let me on her which made me a little nervous. It all worked out though and she was fine. Clint rode "Misfit" and he was a beautiful horse. We rode up in the superstitions and the view was beautiful .
In keeping with the theme, we went to a restaurant called The Mining Camp Restaurant (recommended by my father-in-law). Clint and I walked in and couldn't stop laughing because it was completely different than we had expected (But completely Chris' style all the way). It was family style seating and the dishes were all tin. Let's just say it wasn't the most romantic dinner, but definitely one we'll remember! We finally finished the night by watching Australia, sticking with the cowboy theme. Thanks for planning a fun night babe! Happy Anniversary!

Hole in the Rock

On Saturday we decided to go on a family hike to Papago Park. It's really more like a walk, but perfect for the kids. We were reminiscing about last time we did this and remembered how long ago it was. I found some pictures and Lexi was so young!

Caden was so excited and Lexi was surprisingly a little hesitant. While we were parking the car Lexi said, "I'm scared." Caden proceeded to tell her, "Don't be scared Lexi. There's no monsters up there." It was so cute! And he was right! As soon as we started walking they thought it was so fun and loved looking down over the city from the "hole in the rock".

ASU Gymnastics

Last night we went with some friends to the ASU women's and men's gymnastics meet. It was fun to watch. It reminded me of the times I would go to meets with my Mom when I was younger. She would be judging and I would get to be a runner (the kid that runs the score over and then holds it up for everyone to see.)
Lexi and Caden were entertained and loved trying to find Sparky. He came by us and Caden would run over and give him a high five and run back. It was hilarious! The little girls wanted nothing to do with him.
Go Devils!

Be Mine!

We had a fun little Valentine party for the kids. My friend Jessica and Shelene came over with their kids. We decorated cookies and played with home-made pink playdoh. We finished off by heading to Chick-fil-a for lunch. Lexi loved that her and Aspyn had matching Valentine skirts. She thought that was so neat. The kids had a great time!

It was all about the sprinkles!

All the kids: Aspyn, her cousin Ella, Rylee, Logan, Kolton, Lexi and Caden.

Aspyn is never seen without a smile!

More Family Photos

One of our good friends, Trevor Dayley, is starting his photography business and wanted to take some photos of us for his website. We gladly accepted and are happy with the outcome. He did a great job. I would highly recommend him for anyone looking to take photos. His website is http://www.thewayiamstudio.com/ Check him out!

(What a hunk!)

Snowbowl

I had a great time snowboarding with two of my great friends Michelle and Shelene. This was my first shot at it, so yes, I am way sore! I did take the beginner class so I had some idea what I was doing. I was getting the hang of it and then I'd get doing way too fast and feared I would totally biff it forward (which I did once and it hurt!), so I'd purposely fall on my butt! I will go again, but only when there's a good layer of fresh snow, so it doesn't hurt so bad. I'm glad I can now say that I've at least been and it was fun!

Michelle did awesome!
