Happy Easter!

more egg hunts...

On Saturday morning our ward put on a neighborhood egg hunt/breakfast.  It turned out to be lots of fun.  After the hunt the kids/adults participated in some fun games.

Lexi had to push the egg across the grass with a spoon that's in her mouth!

The infamous egg toss!  Yes, that's quite the look on my face!

Then on Easter Sunday the kids woke up and had their own hunt at the house and opened a gift from the Easter Bunny.

Yes, Archer got a bag of jelly beans open and ate about 10 before I could snag them away!

Albright's Annual Egg Hunt

Grandpa and Grandma put on another great egg hunt for the grand kids.  We always have such a blast doing this at Grandpa and Grandma Standages home.  The kids have so much room to run and play and it's perfect for hiding eggs.  We are sad that this is probably the last year doing it there, since the land is being sold. Clint was able to take some time off work and join us this year.  He took charge of playing some games.  We have such fond memories doing this every year on Good Friday so hopefully the tradition will continue on, just somewhere else!

Clint would fly this spinner in the air and Ashley and Lynessa had to see who could get it first!

Archer loved getting into all the eggs!  It didn't take him long to figure out there was candy inside!

Around the bottom of the trees is how Lexi went about it...

CLIMBING the tree is how Caden went about it! (Oh, and he left with a huge rip in the back of his shorts!)

f.h.e.

 Let the egg festivities begin...
We started out inside in the kitchen, but after green dye spilling all over the table and floor (right after Caden just dropped a yogurt from the refrigerator that busted open all over the floor and fridge) I quickly told the kids we were moving out back to do this.

Yes, Caden was running through the sprinklers earlier in the day and definitely didn't want a shirt back on!

a man after my own heart

This boy loves to brush his teeth almost as much as his Mommy!  What can I say?!  Who doesn't love clean teeth???

Finally by this last photo, I realized that I needed to turn my flash off!

taking off...

Archer that is.  Within the past week he decided he wanted to walk and has done just that!  Yes, he still does crawl {usually when he want to get somewhere fast} but he now walks all on his own.  Let me say, I love this stage.  The baby waddle is my fav. and I love how Archer always thinks he must walk carrying something.  It does make me a little sad {tear} because I know he is growing up too fast!  Here is some video.
{For some reason I felt inclined to record over 2 min.  You can watch the first 10 seconds and get the idea!}

Archer also likes his picture taken recently.  When you ask him to smile he squints his eyes and smiles.  It's too cute!

from the mouth of Caden...

a little conversation Caden and I had a while ago went something like this...

Caden: "Hey, Mom.  Since I'm sick I don't have to go to church right?"

Me:  "Yeah, we don't want you to get any other kids sick."

Caden "Hey, Lexi!  Do you want me to cough on you so you don't have to go to church either?!"

Clint and I thought it was pretty funny, but really??? Where do they come up with this stuff?
