teach and preach

Hooray! My youngest brother, Jordan received his mission call. He will be serving in the Morristown, New Jersey mission and reports Oct. 6th. We are so excited and proud of him!

Here it is...

Archer and his Daddy awaiting the call...

My 3 boys! I love how not one of them is looking the same way. The other day Caden looked like he was going to cry and I asked him what was wrong. He said that he already misses Jordan!

Don't forget to text everyone! You won't be able to do that for 2 years!

3 months

Time flys...

Archer is still the BEST baby!

Who knows, maybe it's just that I'm now experienced with #3?!

Tempe Beach Park

My kids are at the age where they 1. Remember and 2. Can't wait for family night. I know these days won't last forever, but while they do we are sure enjoying our Monday nights together! We decided to take a picnic to Tempe Beach Park and afterwards, the kids had a blast at the splash pad.

splish splash...

...I was taking a bath!!!

Life is great...dance makes it better!

Lexi's dance recital was last Friday. This is what she had been looking forward to all year until it actually got here. I think now that she's a bit older she knows what's coming and began to get a little nervous, but mostly anxious! When we got there I heard her lean over to her friend Emma and ask, "are you kind of nervous for tonight?" To which Emma responded, "yes". I think this helped that she wasn't the only one!

They did a ballet dance and tap. She looked adorable and did a great job!

Here is Lexi and Emma getting ready for ballet

"Never had a friend like me." from Aladdin was the song they tapped to.

While Lexi was getting ready for the recital (curling her hair and putting on make up), Caden said, "why do you have to look so pretty?" I thought it was too cute! He also was quick to say, "Lexi did a good job!" after each of her dances. He is such a sweet brother!

Here is Lexi with her cousins Sophie and Gracie. Lexi had her choice of where to go afterwards and she chose frozen custard at Nielsons. Yummm!

what to do when it's over 100 outside???

Swim lessons of course! Lexi and Caden just finished their first session of lessons this summer. Caden was a sea lion and Lexi was in level 3. They are both becoming quite the swimmers. Lexi spent time polishing her freestyle, getting better at her backstroke, and was introduced to diving in. Caden started learning backstroke and worked hard getting better at freestyle and retrieving objects from under water.
Everyday we'd ask Caden, "how'd it go today?" and he always had the same response, "It was too easy!" Funny kid!

2010 spring season...

...of soccer has come to an end.
To say, "Caden loves soccer" would be an understatement. He has had such a blast playing his first season of soccer. He learned a lot and made some great friends. Oh and made a few goals along the way! Dad was sure to always have Caden recite 3 rules before each game:
1. Do your Best
2. Make friends
3. Have fun
I'm sure this is the first of many years we will be spending our Saturday mornings on the soccer field. Go Dragons!!!

The "after party" at Peter Piper Pizza!

Coach Brian awarding Caden his medal.

Love the pizza face!

2 wheelin'

Back when Lexi was learning to ride her bike on 2 wheels, Clint asked Caden if he wanted to learn. At that time he didn't want to, so Clint told him when he was ready to let him know. About two weeks ago, he went up to Dad and said, "I want to ride my bike with no training wheels." So that was it! He grasped right on and rides like a champ! He still needs a little help getting started, but has no problem riding all on his own after that. He's taken a few spills, but never lets that detour him. He jumps right back on and goes again!
