One year older...

Clint turned 31 this past weekend and we had fun celebrating with our friends Tim and Tori. We went to Monti's for dinner, which was really good and following that we went to golfland to sharpen up our goofy golfing skills and play some arcade games (it was all to make Clint feel young!). Earlier that morning we made him breakfast and surprised him with an appt. to get a massage. The kiddos also surprised daddy with his new flip flops he's been wanting. Happy Birthday Clint!
Clint thought it would be funny to get a picture with our waiter. He was a good sport!

Tim behind the Laser (or should we say LaZer) Tag desk. A kid from our ward works there and had Tim watch the desk while he ran to do something. Apparently the Golfland Hat makes you "in charge".

Daddy Daughter

Our ward had a daddy daughter night this past weekend. Clint kept putting the bug in Lexi's ear about their date they had coming up and it really got her excited. They had lots of fun! They had a pie eating contest, which apparently Lexi beat Daddy (she had a much smaller portion than he did) and she was sure to tell me all about. They also did a relay obstacle course, an ice cream sundae game (the toppings they had to choose from were written in dutch, so they didn't know whether they were getting chocolate fudge or pickles!) and they also did a "how well do you know each other" game where they got to spray each other with water guns if they answered wrong.

Love this picture!

Zing Zang Zoom

My parents treated us to the Barnum and Bailey Circus Thursday night. This was the kids first time and it was so much fun. The show, Zing Zang Zoom, was full of illusions which kept Clint and I saying, "whoa, how'd they do that?" the whole time. We had a great time! (Don't worry Dad, I'm sure I won't forget my Circus experience this time!)

..."don't you think I'm cute with my bushy tail and my furry suit?"...

Lexi had her dance recital last night and did a fabulous job! We were so impressed. She knew her dances so well. She had two numbers in the program. The first was her tap to "In the Tiki Room" (The blue bird feathers) and second was ballet "Wouldn't you like me for your very own?" (the skunk outfit). I wish I had a video, but of course they wouldn't allow us to video tape.

When we were driving to the recital Lexi kept saying, "I don't know Mom." She began to get a little nervous and wasn't sure if she was ready. She surprised us and knew every part! I think her favorite part of the performance is getting to wear make-up. She kept on looking in the mirror. So cute! Earlier in the week she mentioned to Dad that she really likes those See's chocolates and that maybe she would get those for her dance recital. She lucked out and Daddy bought her her very own box of chocolates and Mommy got her a flower. We sure love you Lexi. You are quite the dancer!

Doesn't she make beautiful skunk?

Lexi saw another girl having her picture taken on the grass and wanted hers taken too.

Tempe Beach Park

We had fun a couple of weeks ago at the tempe beach park. My kiddos really love this splash pad because it's the only one with slides. Caden was cracking me up with all of his funny faces and poses...hence the many pictures of him. He loves the water! Lexi had fun running around with her friends.
(side note: most of my pictures for the couple of months will probably include water and swimsuits. What can I say? We live in AZ and the only way to endure the 110 degree heat is to swim!)

last day of preschool...

For the last day of preschool, Lexi's class had a water fun day. It was fun to go and see Lexi in class and see how many fun things she has done and the many things she learned during this year. Caden was especially excited because he got to go and join in on the fun. Lexi's teacher and Aide both complimented me on how smart and cute Lexi is. They are sure that she'll do great in kindergarten! (Ahhh...at least we have a few months until I have to face those emotions!)

(Yes!!!! My computer has been healed! Who knew I could survive as long as I did without it!)

I'm here...

Don't worry...I'm still alive and all is well. Well, mostly. My computer decided to crash on me almost two weeks ago and so I have not been able to post lately. Luckily we were able to recover ALL from our hardrive, so that's good (Thanks to Ryan for that!) To stay up to date on my e-mail I am using Clint's work computer, but there is no where to insert my SD card to upload pic's. Hopefully our computer will be up and running here shortly and I can update with my many posts and pictures I have. Stay tuned...
